Summary
"MERLIN!" Arthur shouted on his way to the door before opening it with a bang.
As he caught sight of another figure, a glimpse of a naked shoulder, Arthur stopped in his tracks: he did not think Merlin might have been busy entertaining company. He always reprimanded Merlin for not knocking, yet here he was, barging into a couple's room.
Arthur distinctly remembered that Lancelot stayed with Merlin all those years back. He just didn't think they were this close, hadn't considered the logistics of living together in such a small room. He should have known: it had only one bed. Forgive him for thinking, after being at Merlin's home village, that Lancelot slept on the floor.
Or, in the aftermath of reclaiming the Citadel from Morgana's forces, various knights find their way to Merlin's room to find him asleep in Lancelot's arms.

In another life, Zuko watches him get dragged away by the Dai Li and feels justified, and then a surge of rage and shame and fear that he can’t quite place, and then he moves on.
In this life, Jet doesn’t see a thing, and Zuko drop-kicks most of his own pride into the gutter in a fit of customer-service-based despair. In this life, Jet keeps calling Zuko “Li” and slinks around the tea shop in the lower ring where Zuko has started working, like he’s a customer.]
Zuko and Jet find themselves meeting more often than not.
Featuring Zuko's multiple morality crises, Jet's unacknowledged trauma, Iroh's devotion to his nephew, and Aang's unfortunate desire to see the good in people.

"I can't believe it!" Arthur exclaimed in the resulting quiet. "You've known him for what — a day, two?" he pointed accusingly at Lancelot.
"What can I say," Merlin was unapologetic. He stoked the fire of their camp, his expression perfectly composed except for the corners of his mouth, which tried to run off into a smirk. "One look at Lancelot's doe eyes, and I vowed to move heaven and earth for him. A little forgery was nothing."
"This! You can't just— do capital crimes for people you hardly know!"
