Summary
In which Wriothesley, owner of a wildlife rescue and sanctuary, rescues a weird-looking not-gopher in a pool, which leads him down a strange mystery involving a government conspiracy, an illegal smuggling ring, and a Iudex that has disappeared from the office, sending Fontaine in a frenzy. Little does he know, the missing Iudex Neuvillette is a lot closer to him than he realizes.
(All he has to do is look closer at the fluffy otter creature currently curled against his chest, shamelessly using his pecs as his pillow.)

People keep coming up to Kaveh to congratulate him. Kaveh doesn’t really know why, and he’s a little too scared to ask at this point, so he heads back home, content if not a little bemused.
He is, unfortunately, reminded of it the very next day, when the door slams open and Al-Haitham stalks in. “Mind telling me why everyone was congratulating me today?” he demands. “About your pregnancy?"
Or: Al-Haitham is, without a doubt, the most annoying person Kaveh knows. Maybe the world’s second-most annoying person can help Kaveh figure him out.

Summary
Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaitham and Kaveh are sent to investigate another ruin that makes people black out and reemerge with only one question playing over and over in their heads. They had all dealt with something similar just a couple of months prior so, everything should go well, right?
That's what they thought, but now, they're stranded in a strange new world with potential allies that don't trust them and nothing to tie them back to their home. They need to somehow find a way to get back without getting killed in the process, and who knows? They might make some strange acquaintances on the road.
The Hunting Dogs are often tasked with missions that range from a simple de-escalation of threats to worldwide terrorist attacks. That much was expected from them. What was not in their job description however, was babysitters for otherworldly individuals. And yet, here they were.

“Nice club,” Wriothesley said as he slid onto the bar stool beside him, leaning one elbow on the counter. “I like the energy of the place.”
Slowly, the man’s gaze slid over to take him in, and as he turned, Wriothesley could see that Monsieur Neuvillette’s eyes were a striking lilac color, the pupils slit and white. Wriothesley did his honest best not to fidget or let his scent shift too much to one of sudden desire-tinged-anxiety as Neuvillette closed his book.
He was wearing gloves. Black leather gloves.
