    Summary

“Perhaps..." Satin began hesitantly. "...speaking it aloud, out into the open air, might help clear away the confusion.” He steadied himself once more. “Jon, I think it’s time we talk.”

Satin could hear Jon swallow and could see the dread on his face, as though he’d been running from this conversation for a very, very long time. Then, the dread faded and fell away to resignation.

“Aye...” He said, somber and solemn as winter. “I suppose it is.”

(Arya confronts Satin and the fallout forces Jon and Satin to have a long, long overdue conversation)

    Summary

The Twins could hold for months. Could. Were the Freys garrisoning it united in any way, shape, or form.

All the better for it, Satin thought. They seem rather intent to do our job for us. In fact, they’d been doing it since well before their army even made it past the Neck. Walder Frey was already dead when they arrived. And had been, so word said, for well over two moon turns. That was no surprise given the man had surpassed the age of ninety plagued with gout and no doubt a host of other ill-begotten maladies. That left his grandson and heir, Edwyn Frey, as Lord of the Crossing, and that was who Jon and his council had expected to meet upon arrival at the Twins. But then word had come from scouts that he had lost possession of the Twins to his brother Black Walder. But then word had come again that Edwyn had reclaimed it. And then Black Walder. And then Edwyn. And then Black Walder again. By the time they had arrived at the Twins, bewildered and unsure which Lord of the Crossing they’d even be fighting, they found, surprisingly, it was neither.

    Summary

He makes a questioning noise, silently asking a question and House answers, “Just making sure you’re breathing, Wombat.”

House stays seated, rolling his cane between his palms. He tries to think of a response, but nothing comes. Eventually, House stands, heavily leaning on the cane, but before he moves away a hand reaches down and ruffles his long shaggy hair. Then not even a moment later a second blanket drops on top of him from Wilson. He blinks a few times and then he lets sleep claim him.

    Summary

Littlefinger’s smile was sharp, and it displayed his pearly white teeth. Something about it, how the teeth shone in the pale moonlight or the way the grin didn’t quite reach his eyes, made Satin’s skin want to crawl. He didn’t let it. He made sure is own smile rested easily on his lips, coy, playful, expecting. He had a role to play, after all.

“I called you here to do mutually beneficial business. Surely that is a language you and I both speak.”

(Satin makes a gamble. Baelish plays his hand. And Jon is waiting to make sure justice is done.)

    Bookmarker's Notes

This series is already bookmarked, but this specific one deserves its own flowers. Maybe it’s because littlefinger finally gets the sweet sweet karma he deserves, or because of his and satin’s conversation (everything said with so much intent, the characters played, wow), or because the picture of Jon standing over littlefinger with Satin, Jeyne, Sansa standing hand in hand by the side. Just wow

    Summary

Satin felt the Lord Commander’s eyes following him as he worked. It was not an unfamiliar feeling, a man’s eyes on him. But it always felt different when Jon watched him. His eyes did not leer or ogle him with greedy heat. They simply watched. There was something inscrutable to those grey eyes – an intensity that was not hunger, a warmth that was not heat, an aloofness that was not cold. In the eyes of men Satin could read much; he knew in them lust, desire, anger, repulsion. But he could not read Jon Snow. It infuriated him. It intrigued him. It made him deeply, viscerally, uncomfortable.

(A continuation of ASOIAF, told from Satin’s POV. Starting mid-ADWD and moving beyond. A JonSatin centric tale of love, duty, and devotion. Welcome to a very, very slow burn as they dance around each other, push and pull, offer and resist, and become far more to one another than they ever expected)
