Summary
Hal was never the Guardians’ first choice to be a Green Lantern. Hell, he wasn’t the second, third, or fourth, either. He didn’t even make the fucking list. He’s been best described as a loose cannon with a bad temper and a penchant for getting himself into more trouble that strictly necessary, and he breaks more rules than he follows. Sometimes he doesn’t think things all the way through before he does them. Hal Jordan, danger to everyone, but mostly himself.
Shoot first, ask later, that’s his philosophy. Mostly. And it’s that philosophy that has him pinned under all six-foot-three inches of John Stewart.

Summary
“…Being in love, huh,” Moonshine says, mouth pressing into a thin line as she stares at the far wall. She’s silent for a long moment, before finally: “What was it like for you, then? With Gemma?”
“I…just wanted to be around her all the time, I guess,” Hardwon says slowly. “I cared about her a lot, I dunno, it…” He can’t possibly articulate any of his thoughts aloud. Even if he knew how, it would be embarrassing, far too vulnerable. He goes on the defensive: “What, haven’t you ever been in love like that before?”
Hardwon and Moonshine find a moment to talk, during the party after the battle against Queen Ezra.

Summary
This is a bit much, even for him. He hasn’t felt so constantly turned on since he was a teenager in the throes of puberty.
Maybe he’s just been pent up? He’d been spending every night for the past few weeks sharing one medium bed with Moonshine. And he misses her already, sleeping alone in his stump for just a few days; he only backed off to remind Moonshine (and himself) that he could be cool and casual, that things between them could be totally chill, that Hardwon’s feelings were no big deal and he didn’t have to be all over her 24/7. But, sharing a bed with Moonshine meant no privacy.
Yeah, that must be it. He’ll jerk off this one last time, sleep it off, and tomorrow his libido will be back to normal.

He could suck her fingers into his mouth, run his tongue between them, bite them in half so her blood spilled all over his tongue in dozens of little rivulets—
Hardwon wrenched his gaze back up to Moonshine’s face. If he were a better person, he’d end this risky, ridiculous idea here. Yank his hands away, firmly refuse the offer, and scurry back up to the ship before he could further hurt one of the people he loved most in the world.
He wasn’t a good person. Had never been, compared to Moonshine and Bev, but now he truly wasn’t even a person at all. The outside reflecting a truth he’d always felt deep down.
He gripped Moonshine’s hands back.
