Summary
The silence after was thick with tension. It was Brienne who finally huffed and walked to the sideboard, filling a tumbler with ice and whiskey.
After a large sip, she sighed. “I believe we have additional matters of breeding to discuss, gentlemen. Best get on with it.”
Jaime was halfway through his own swallow; he choked until it burned.
“Brienne!” Selwyn was red-faced. “That’s no way to start–”
“Come on, Father. We’re all adults here.” She turned to Jaime, and for the first time he noticed her eyes. They were endless blue, the color of sunny, summer skies. He was held in their still certainty. “Mr. Jaime Lannister was caught by the housekeeper in bed with his married cousin, so his reputation is in shambles.” She had the gall to follow that statement with a gentle smile. “And while I might be the least coveted filly in this trade, I can offer him an out.”

Summary
"At 25, with two premier league wins and a strong appearance in the Champions League under his belt, Jamie had said he’d go out on a high note. He’d promised himself, back when 30 felt like a death sentence, that at 35 he’d retire in a blaze of glory, having crushed competitive football in every metric there is.
Then three weeks before his 35th birthday, that plan had been shot to hell when Roy Kent walked into the locker room."
Or, A Jamie on his way out of the Premier League can't get Roy, over a decade his junior, out of his head.

Summary
(AKA The human!Dream coffee shop AU that no one asked for.)
He almost misses the table in the back corner. Far from the front windows and veiled by a thin curtain of ivy, a single table calls to Hob from across the cafe. It's only when he approaches the corner that Hob realises that table is occupied. Small wonder he missed this detail the first time; the man seated at the table is dressed entirely in black, and he's looking down at an open book so Hob can only see a shock of black hair. Still, there's nowhere else to sit, and apparently none of the students are inclined to share a table with a man who looks like a raven in human form.
Hob clears his throat and puts on his best smile. "Excuse me, would you mind if I shared your table?"

Summary
Hob heard about Roderick Burgess capturing the Devil about a year after it happened. When his friends wondered about it, he went to see for himself. In a whirlwind of events, he ended up breaking out his oldest friend and taking an abused child away from his home. An abused child Dream told Hob to adopt.
Well, Hob was going to jump into this with both feet. If Alex needed a dad and a place to belong, Hob could provide that. So, he had a kid now, he supposed. Fuck.
