"What? How?!" Shane sputtered. "I'm literally just doing yoga.""No, is lie. You are a really bad liar and a really bad tease." Ilya's eyes were boring a hole into Shane's backside. "You are always teasing me with your tiny yoga shorts."

The sun had set, and Shane still hadn't been able to get hold of Ilya. Ilya's last messages on his phone were still the ones he had sent from the plane—Whatever happens, I am with you—which Shane had reread more times than his heart could bear.
He switched his attention back to the TV as the news cycled again, reporting the same information from that afternoon.
"The Centaurs' plane made an emergency landing in Tampa at half past noon today. Team management has confirmed that no one was harmed. There are no further updates at this ti—"
His phone rang. He'd never answered it faster in his life.

Summary
Ilya couldn't sleep. He was jet-lagged from the long flight between Moscow and Saskatche—or wherever the fuck he was—Canada. It was way too early, but he was wide awake. So Ilya grabbed his coat and his skates and headed to the rink.
Luckily, the rink was within walking distance of the hotel because it was fucking freezing. Ilya was shivering despite being bundled up from head to toe.
Once he arrived at the entrance, a rink worker caught his attention. "Sorry, kid. Something came up. It'll be a while before I can open the rink and prep it. You'll have to come back later." Well, fuck.

They're back at Shane's cottage now after that stressful visit to his parents where he distinctly remembers banning all usages of this word. But unfortunately for Shane, Ilya has not let it go.
"Ilya, you're not allowed to use that word again. It's so gross," Shane reminds him, still not fully recovered from the sheer embarrassment that, of all the words in the English language (and there are so many words!), that was the one Ilya chose to say in front of his parents.
