"Okay, okay, I get it! You're pissed." Tommy starts speaking faster, his face just as overly expressive as Wilbur remembers. "I should have reached out to you when Dad kicked your ass down to Hell. And I was going to! But, you know. A day turned into a week which turned into a thousand years and then it just seemed weird..." He trails off, not quite looking Wilbur in the eye.
"Well, congratulations! Weirdness averted!" Wilbur says sarcastically. He puts his hands in his pockets and waits for Tommy to keep doing what he does best - talk himself into the deepest hole he can.
"You weren't there, Will, you don't know! When Dad kicked you out, the whole family was rocked. Me especially!"
Wilbur almost laughs. "Oh, really? Why's that?"
Tommy stares at him. "Because I lost my favourite big brother, dumbass."

Summary
Technoblade was running out of time. He had eaten the last scrap of food around four days ago. The water ran out three days ago. It was slowly getting harder and harder to breathe. While Techno prided himself on his ability to survive, he was pretty confident he wasn't going to make it out of this one. Stranded out in the middle of some random galaxy in a ship full of the dead bodies of his former crewmates and starving to death isn't the most impressive of deaths, but it wasn't like anyone was going to see it anyway.

‘Cole felt like he was dreaming, walking through a thick haze, senses dulled to a deafening numbness. He couldn't feel anything. He saw leaves rustling, but he couldn't feel the breeze. He could barely feel the ground under his feet.’
I was blown away by the love I received for my recent angsty ball of Ninjago fanfiction; Just Breathe. So I wrote another one, this time focused on Cole’s time as a ghost. While Cole takes centre stage, there is plenty of Lloyd/Morro angst and Jay/Nya/Nadakhan angst mixed in.
The fic spans from the start of S5 until post S7. It is canon compliant, but focusing on the times in between. S6 in particular is treated from the team’s perspective, so skipped over completely (although the events are eventually discussed).
TW: There is violence, but it is only slightly worse than what you would expect in canon. There is discussions of rape. The rape itself isn’t graphically described, but it comes up multiple times. I will put an author’s note at the start of each chapter that is relevant. -

Summary
The first time Cole saw himself in the mirror, he almost didn’t recognize his reflection. Green mist where his face was supposed to be, his skin see-through like a dusty window, even his black gi tainted in an otherworldly glow. He looked in the mirror, and a ghost stared back.
But in the end, his sacrifice was worth it – they defeated the Preeminent, they exiled the (other) ghosts from Ninjago, and most important of them all, Lloyd was safely back with the team. And with no imminent threat on the horizon, maybe it was time he began his journey to self-acceptance.
Being a ghost should come with some benefits, after all. Even if sometimes the cons seem to outweigh the pros.
Even if it feels harder and harder to hold onto his humanity with each passing day.
Even if the others seem to be forgetting about him a lot more frequently recently.
