Summary
It’s well-past sunset by the time Jord has a moment to himself to dart across the street, around to the small alley, then up the recently-repaired wooden stairs that lead to the side entrance of the Chromatic Scale.
More than a moment, really. A whole evening to himself. It feels like a luxury, one he doesn’t want to squander.
And he won’t be by himself for much longer, anyway.

Summary
During this entire process, Caramon badgers him with inane questions, or repeatedly declares that the smell of the food is driving him crazy. And every time Caramon tries to sneak a spoon into the pot for a taste, Raistlin is there to smack Caramon’s hand away.
“Patience, brother,” Raistlin says.
Caramon tilts his head back with a theatrical groan of complaint. “But Raist, you know I’m bad at that.”
Raistlin brings a hand up to his face to conceal his small smile in the sleeve of his robe. Yes, he knows.

Summary
“Well, it’s just that… Nobody here, nobody knows who we are.”
Raistlin’s eyes narrow, and Caramon can see when his twin’s interest passes, clouding over with dismissal and disapproval. “What an astute observation, my brother.”
Caramon sighs and shakes his head, annoyed at himself for losing the battle, for losing the thread of the conversation before it’s even begun, for losing that brief, beautiful moment of Raistlin’s unwavering attention.
“You know what I mean,” he insists. “No one knows who we really are.”

Summary
Meet Cosmo, the Dark Urge.
Gale Dekarios is trying to survive the tadpole in his brain, the dangers of the road, and the growing distraction of one very loud, very reckless Dark Urge companion.
Cosmo’s appetite is relentless. Every night another stranger, another loud, filthy performance that shakes the camp and Gale’s already fragile self-control. What begins as irritation slowly twists into fascination, shame, and addiction.
Cosmo remained a walking conundrum. A massive elf with a mouthful of sharp, predatory teeth—quite like a tiefling’s, actually—who refused to eat meat. Curiouser still was the way the man could look utterly relaxed while being pleasured, only to fly into inconsolable furies on the battlefield. Chaos seemed to flow through his veins. Most unsettling of all was his strange gift: tasting the flesh of the fallen allowed him to inherit their final thoughts. The vegetarianism made a great deal more sense after that revelation.
Gale told himself he was only checking that the noisy tiefling wasn’t a threat. Just a quick glance. He teased the tent flap open… and promptly forgot how to breathe.

“Ye like watchin’, dinnae ye?” The words were low, meant only for him. “Filthy wee owlet.”
Gale’s stomach flipped.
He stood frozen, eyes helplessly tracking the powerful lines of Cosmo’s back and the sway of his muscular ass as the elf strode ahead to lead the group.

Bookmarker's Notes
He pushed his tongue in between his slightly parted, full lips, slick and glossy with Durge’s own saliva. He could still taste traces of death and psionics in his mouth, but he would soon lick them all off. His fingers worked his hole tirelessly in preparation the dead body had no use for. He would overdo it one day, stretch him too much, but he couldn’t deny himself the pleasure of feeling his insides. He would tear him apart completely one day, fuck his entrails; his bowels, his lungs, his heart, his brain, until there was nothing left; he’d gorge himself on the leftovers, and his fun would be over. His last link to his past would be gone, and maybe then, he could be a good man. A faithful husband. Maybe then, he could stop praying to Father.

A small gasp escaped Dalamar’s lips as those bloody fingers brushed over the damning bulge hiding beneath his robes that even mutilation couldn’t soften. Raistlin’s eyes flickered down as a minute expression of disgust twitched across his lips.
“It seems I continue to fail you as an instructor,” he said acidly.
“M-my apologies, Shalafi,” Dalamar stuttered. “I can’t help—”
“Of course not,” Raistlin jeered. “You have no mastery over your own urges, and it has made you a poor student. Very well then. Show me your failure.”

Summary
Lenore touched their body like it was precious and she loved it.
Said it was, and she did, even more so because it was theirs, murmuring praises into their skin until Yrre had to quiet her with a kiss.
But Yrre’s hands could say so much more than their words.
And on Lenore’s body, they danced.

Bookmarker's Notes
They spent so much of their life trying to avoid notice, stay safe and hidden. But then lightning found them and brought them to Lenore, and so much had changed.
Yrre felt so safe inside her; her body, her tower, her life. Lenore held them so close, trusted them so deeply that they scarcely understood it. Here they were unavoidable to the only person they’d ever wanted to notice them. They were vulnerable, yet still so safe. And with Lenore they were exposed; their mind, their body. They were known utterly, but all of it was met with joy.
