Lando Norris tiene todo exactamente como le gusta.

“So, you’re saying,” Lando narrows his brows, “My parents are paying you to date me?”
“Um, yeah,” Oscar admits, licking his dry lips, “No, I mean, they said they would pay me only if we started dating, which we haven’t so, technically—”
Lando goes off on a rant about how his parents are so controlling and have no sense of respect for his privacy. God, he looks so fucking good complaining.
“You know what, mate? Fuck it.”
The mischievous glint in Lando’s eyes snaps him out of his daze.
“Let’s do it. Let’s get you paid, Osc!”

Lando grabs Oscar’s face now, keeping him steady as the tears flow down his face.
“I want that too Oscar, god I want this so bad.”
Oscar sniffles, “I’ve thought about it you know, running away. Getting out of this life.”
“It’s all I think about,” Lando confesses, “I can’t let you marry her, I can’t sit and watch you get taken away.”
Oscar sighs, “Then why don’t we try?”

Oscar comes from a long line of successful Piastri men, all expected to be carbon copies of their fathers.
It's worked for generations. Though Oscar accidentally breaks the cycle when he realizes that he's gay. Specifically when he meets his fathers business partners son, Lando Norris.
They love each other, but it's 1959, so that should be impossible.

Summary
Waterboy spends every day after work dreading the next. Being a hero is great, but the constant pressure he puts on himself begins to exacerbate his anxiety. Especially with Flambae berating and belittling him every chance he gets. Getting cursed seems to be just another tally on his exhaustingly long list of rotten luck. So how come things actually begin to improve for once? After all, if you've hit bottom, the only place you can go is up, right?
Flambae doesn't need anyone or anything. He has his family, after all, and a job he likes enough not to want to fall back into committing arson. Sure, he might butt heads occasionally, but it has never impacted his performance before, even when Robert continually threatens him to be nicer to Waterbitch. When he winds up taking home a stray cat after work, he can't even begin to fathom how this might just turn his world upside down.
Or: Waterboy gets cursed to turn into a cat at nightfall. It ironically ends up bringing him and Flambae closer.
