This confused Ghost even more, eyebrows scrunching up as he tried to puzzle out what Soap wanted from him.
“Sophia?” He asked a bit incredulously, because why in the world would Soap want him to give her his necklace?
Soap just nodded, smile morphing into more of a lopsided smirk, licking his lips while waiting for Ghost to formulate his next question.
“Why?”
The air was pushed out of his lungs as Soap took a step forward, their noses practically touching, causing Ghost's eyes to instinctively fall onto Soap’s chapped lips before quickly darting back to his eyes.
If he just leaned in a bit, if he closed the distance between them the way he subconsciously knew he wanted to, this night could end very differently.
But as this night had clearly shown, when it came to Soap, he wasn’t afforded the time to react. This was Soap’s show and he was going to run it on his schedule.
