Summary
He forgot about the beer in his hand. He forgot that he needed to go check the frayed leads on his own guitar before he went on. He forgot about the exam on Tuesday he hadn’t studied for and the show flyers he needed to photocopy at work the next day and all of fucking Jersey.
In that moment, though drunk and sloppy and barely intelligible through the awful mix, Frank knew he was watching the birth of an immortal.
Frank agrees to help find Mikey Way's new band its first show.

Summary
“Right.” Patrick shakes his head, tugging his hat back in place. When he looks up, his face is still red, his mouth in a thin line. There’s a pine needle sticking to his cheek, sticky with sap and sweat. “I’m the only dude you know that’ll suck you off, right? Is that it?”

Summary
Dark can’t help the flinch, through his trapezius, his shoulders—and Gerry couldn’t miss it, crammed right fucking beside him. But Gerry doesn’t let up his half-whispered rant. “You get too close to someone, your judgment disintegrates.” The consonants hiss in the dark.
Brendan sits stonily through the chewing out.
“Leadership cannot have lapses. Every life has to be expendable. Every relationship has to be expendable.”
“If only I could be more like you. No conscience but the cause,” he retorts. “Gerry Adams the incorruptible.”
Gerry’s eyes sharply narrow. “Are you comparing me to fucking Robespierre?”
“Who the fuck is Rob Speer?”

Summary
Darnell nodded, glancing over Robby like he was trying to place him in the hierarchy of important to ignorable and it could go either way. "What's this?"
"MSF FNG," Jack shot back. Whatever that meant, he sounded amused.
Darnell scoffed and looked to Robby, expression going decidedly unimpressed. "Oh, yeah? You here to find yourself? Have an adventure? Do something hard?" he asked, each question more mocking than the last.
And there was that question again, like it was haunting Robby. He stifled his instinct to bite back and kept it simple: "I'm here to help."
