He doesn't want to die, so he decides to do everything he can to survive until the villain meets the main character, throws divorce papers at Dokja's face, and Dokja, obviously heartbroken, can safely exit with his large sum of alimony to the faraway lands.
The villain meets the main character. Dokja waits. The divorce papers never arrive.
If anything, even mentioning divorce seems to upset his contracted husband.

Assigned to keep Jason Todd from escalating a weapons-trafficking case into a body count, Tim expects resistance. He expects threats, broken surveillance equipment, encrypted insults, and Jason being exactly as infuriating as every report says he is.
He does not expect Jason to be careful with scared kids. He does not expect Jason to trust him with dead drops, safehouses, and secrets Bruce does not get to know. He definitely does not expect to end up in Jason’s lap at five in the morning, grinding against him while case files slide off the couch.

“I’m aware,” Q settles on. “This must be against regulation anyway, isn’t it?”
His quick, emotionless acquiescence seems to take Bond by surprise. Q imagines he’s built this all up in his head, Q pining for him and him nobly telling Q that the most they can ever be is an occasional fuck, etcetera, etcetera.

Then Will feels Vecna getting close, and Steve thinks it might be best for him to sacrifice himself. He’s nice like that.
