Modern TBOSAS AU
(Slaughterjack Version)
Brandy woke up to the sound of her alarm and immediately reached over to grab her phone so that she could silence it.
She checked the time.
6:30 am.
School started at 8 am so she needed to get up now in order to start getting ready.
It was her last first day of middle school ever and Brandy just wanted to get it over with.
She would not miss middle school at all.

Modern TBOSAS High School AU!
(Lumberhouse Version)
Coral: My house. 🏠
Coral: One hour. ⏰
Coral: DON’T BE LATE! ⏳
Coral: TANNER THAT MEANS YOU 🫵
Tanner groaned as he read the texts that Coral had just sent to their group chat.
His phone buzzed again as he received another round of texts.
Treech: tanner …
Treech: are you even awake?
Coral: HE BETTER BE. 🤬
Tanner really hated his best friends sometimes.

Summary
This story will basically be the 10th Annual Hunger Games except it will mainly be following the District 10 tributes Tanner and Brandy! We did not get to see enough of them in both the book or the movie and I love both characters so much!
Excerpt:
The late afternoon sun in District 10 was brutal most days and today was no exception. However while Tanner usually didn’t mind the heat, on this particular day it was all that he seemed to be able to focus on.
Well maybe not quite all that he could focus on.
Tomorrow was Reaping Day. That meant that for today himself and the rest of the children from District 10 who had already started working had the entire day off. A day off from the slaughterhouses before two children between the ages of 12-18 from each district were then forced into an arena to slaughter each other until there was only one survivor. One Victor.

Summary
Tanner was dying.
Coral didn’t have the time or energy to dwell too much on it. She just stood and watched as Treech quickly pulled the trident out of Tanner’s abdomen and handed it back to her.
She could still hear Tanner’s labored breaths as she started walking away from him and towards the last bottle of water. The same bottle of water that caused her to stab Tanner in the first place because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and attempted to challenge her leadership.
Coral knew that her alliance was going to have to fall apart at some point during the games since there could only be one victor, but she did regret it. She was still human after all.

Summary
Edwin drags his lips from Buck’s jaw to his neck, laughing into his fever hot skin. “Did you forget my name?”
Buck blinks down at the top of his head, sighing, baring his throat. The wall digs into his back where he’s being pushed up against it. “No?”
“Then who is Eddie?”
...or, Buck just wants to hook up with a guy in peace. His life falls apart.

Summary
He’s so close. But Buck’s face sways even closer, eyes hyper-focused on Eddie’s mouth, like he wants to ensure that what he whispers next make its way inside:
“The quiet, closeted catastrophe of Edmundo Diaz—performed nightly for an audience of none.”
Eddie flinches. For a second, all the noise in his head goes silent.
“W-what—” Eddie’s voice cracks and he’s trying to frown, trying to be mad, but he feels exposed, so his words come out broken, confused. “What’s that supposed to mean?”or: buck fights back during the kitchen scene in 8x17 and it sends eddie spiralling

Summary
“Hen,” he says, voice dripping with mock-seriousness, “have you ever heard of the Pavlovian response? ”
Hen blinks, staring at him. There’s a long pause as she processes what he’s just said. Finally, her brow furrows in confusion. “The what now?”
“The Pavlovian response.” Buck’s smirk grows wider, his whole body radiating self-satisfaction as he corrects her, drawing out the words with relish.
Or Buck thinks he can ‘train' Eddie into falling in love with him by baking him a sweet treat every single day.

Jealousy simmers until Buck makes one reckless choice that risks not only his friendship with Eddie, but the fragile balance of the family they’ve built together.

Summary
“There are some rules,” Lena starts, but Eddie is already rolling his eyes.
“Let me guess, don’t talk about it?”
“I think that’s implied, with the whole ‘illegal fighting’ thing, but sure, let’s call that the first rule. It’s the second rule that’s important,” she stresses. “That’s what everyone is really there for.”
“What is it?”
“Whoever beats the omega gets the omega.”
Or:
Everybody knows the first rule of fight club. The second is more important.
