“Excuse me, sir,” Jungkook says, breaking the silence as he addresses their driver. “How much longer until we get to Taehyungie’s place?”
The driver, a kind man in his fifties who only recently started working with them, looks at Jungkook in the rearview mirror and smiles.
“A little over forty minutes.”
“Alright, thank you.”
Jungkook closes his eyes before quietly adding, only for Taehyung to hear:
“This drive is never-ending, I fear.”
Taehyung sounds sleepy when he replies, almost whispering.
“Mhhhh. I get to have you all to myself for a little while longer, so I’m not complaining.”
He squeezes Jungkook’s hand.
“Should I ask driver-nim to take a detour?”
“Okay, let’s not go that far.”
Jungkook feels Taehyung’s shoulders shake with laughter.

The car door closes behind Jungkook with a thud. He allows himself to ground himself for a moment, closing his eyes with a tired sigh.
“That was crazy,” he mumbles, looking out the darkened window of the SUV. The entrance of Incheon Airport is barely visible—way too many fans, paparazzi, and actual travelers cloud the view.
Jungkook pulls out his phone and drafts a quick text to Taehyung:
“Why are you in a different car than me?”The response comes within 30 seconds:
“Oh, you miss me already?”

“We just spent the whole flight together, you’re insatiable 😉.”Jungkook snorts. He can feel his ears getting warmer, so he quickly types back.
“Excuse me, I slept almost the whole flight.”
“We could barely talk.”If he is pouting, so what? No one has to know.
