Summary
Rhaenyra should’ve known that Alicent and her precious Greens wouldn’t take this lying down. Alicent’s sons are fostering with Rhaenyra on Dragonstone and that terrifies the queen consort. As they are both privy to one simple truth: Aemond and Aegon’s shifting loyalties are the key to turning the tides.
Or, in which Rhaenyra doesn't alienate her own family, she consolidates it. She recognizes that she will sooner lose this war of succession if she doesn't take initiative to solidify a coalition of supporters but more crucially a legion of her own kin—a legion of dragons—before Alicent and her green ilk can establish their footing.

In the moons before the Princess Rhaenyra gave birth to her third son, those who dwelt in the Red Keep remarked upon a marked change in Princess of Dragonstone. Her affection for her sons deepened into a near-constant vigilance, and few were permitted close without her leave.
Whether this was the will of the gods, or merely the turning of a sharper mind upon an unforgiving world, history records only this: from that season onward, the enemies of Rhaenyra Targaryen rarely met peace.
AN: This work is not explicitly Daemyra, other ships, such as Harwin/Rhaenyra, Laena/Rhaenyra and if I will it so even more alright? If you do not wish to read about couples then please do not. The only constant relationship this fic has Rhaenyra and her children.

In the tenth year of the reign of King Viserys I, a strange malady befell both his queen and his daughter. Queen Aemma Arryn was the first to sicken, seized by a fever so violent that her ladies feared she would be lost before dawn. Before a day had passed the princess was stricken by the very same heat.
For three days and three nights the court was cloaked in terror. The king kept vigil beside his wife and child in turn, unwilling to leave either chamber for long, while the maesters whispered of humors and contagion but found no sure cure. Prayers were spoken at every hour, and more than one lord muttered that House Targaryen’s line stood on the edge of ruin.
Yet as suddenly as it had come upon them, the fever broke. On the morning of the fourth day, Queen Aemma called for water, and not long after Princess Rhaenyra asked for food. Both rose from their beds as if nothing at all had passed between life and death, pale but unharmed, as though the sickness had been no more than a shadow fleeting across their shared blood.

Lyanna Stark is not impressed with her betrothed, Robert Baratheon.
He is loud, brash, a drunk, and already has a bastard in the Vale (and probably more). Ned is too blinded by his love for his friend to realize that he will not keep to her bed once they are married. All that love he claims to have for her certainly didn't matter when he still went to the brothels and just looking at him at the main hall groping a serving wench is making her sick - and she is supposed to put up with that when she is married and bound to him? Over her dead body.Or rather, his dead body.
It's not unusual for men to succumb to their injuries, after all - and injuries happen all the time at tourneys.
He should have known better than get so drunk before a joust.
