Silver is a lot of things in this war. He's a tank, a lieutenant, a field medic, a scout, a shield— whatever the Resistance needs him to be in order to win the day. That all comes with the territory, when it's your job to correct the Past. You become the variable that turns the tides, to force the better outcome. You become the variable the timeline needs to make a Good Future.
But when Sonic comes back from the Death Egg, several new variables are introduced. Variables Silver is having a hard time accounting for in his efforts to literally save the world.
