or - A year has passed since the fateful night Armin and Eren ended things for good; but that isn't enough to stop them from ruining everything after a few drinks at a party and the discovery of an unlocked guest room down the hall. So, to keep their friends off their backs, they agree to fake date until the consequences of their stupidity eventually blow over. They'd bond, maybe patch up their crumbling friendship, and turn this whole thing into an inside joke within a year or two.

Summary
Annie has had trouble sleeping for as long as she can remember, but in the days following the Rumbling, it becomes the worst it’s ever been. After a night when she accidentally falls asleep in Armin’s tent without a single nightmare, they come to an agreement where she can share his tent for a better night’s rest.
Their unusual arrangement works for a while, but when they have to travel south to attend a meeting in southern Marley, they are forced to share not only a room, but a bed. Sleeping next to each other on a cold tent floor was doable, but something about sharing a bed causes more tension between them than Annie had anticipated.

They tried very hard not to cry, wiping their eyes with the back of their wrist as they slowly ripped chunks of onion off the outside of the vegetable and tossing them in the trash. Then, putting it on its (mostly) flattened new top, they noticed a small speckling of brownish dirt on the interior and let out an annoyed grunt, quickly giving the (new) outer layer of the onion a rinsing under the sink, scrubbing the dirt off with their thumb. They tried not to stare too hard at their slowly cracking black nail polish. It definitely needed a refresh, and they definitely owed themselves a manicure after this nightmare.
