    If someone had told the you from three months ago that she’d end up becoming close friends with some of the top pro-heroes of modern-day Japan, she’d have immediately asked that person to count backwards from 100 by 7—which, coming from an ordinary civilian in a Quirk-centric society, would have been a perfectly reasonable (if slightly overcautious) response.

    Then again, Oscar Wilde wasn’t exactly a pro-hero, either, and yet he was right when he said to expect the unexpected, because not only do you now somehow share your Netflix password with pro-heroes Chargebolt and Red Riot, you’re Pinky and Cellophane’s real-life dress-up doll now, too. The only thing left is to serve as Dynamight’s sous-chef during sleepovers—except that’s not exactly feasible, because not only has he made it clear he doesn’t want you in the kitchen, he doesn’t want you in the group, period.

    But the group does, so you stay. And, to his credit, he somehow leaves you be.

    Until now, that is.

    (Or: In which you go on a night out with your new squad hardly expecting the unexpected, and Oscar Wilde gets to say ‘I told you so’)

    As far as everyone else is concerned, you've always existed here. You have parents. School records. Childhood photographs. A perfectly ordinary Quirk. Memories of growing up.

    You also happen to remember being a person from a world where My Hero Academia was fictional.

    After several days of existential horror, you come to one extremely important conclusion: You are absolutely not going to interfere with canon.

    You know how these stories work.
    People who interfere with canon get kidnapped.
    People who befriend the main characters get tragic backstories.
    People who become mysteriously important get villains obsessed with them.
    And people who catch Katsuki Bakugou's attention inevitably end up trapped in a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers fanfic that takes 180,000 words to resolve.

    So you establish rules.
    1. Don't change canon.
    2. Don't attract All Might's attention.
    3. Don't reveal future events.
    4. Don't become friends with Class 1-A.
    5. Under absolutely no circumstances become romantically interesting to Katsuki Bakugou.

    Unfortunately, you have been enrolled at UA Highschool.
