Months of cataloguing information and then changing his schedule to match. Of rearranging his entire life so he can have forty-five glorious minutes of stolen glances every night.
Months of dragging himself home and fucking himself raw on the cheap knotting dildo he’d finally broken down and bought. Months of being left keening and unfulfilled in his sad little nest, ready to claw out of his own skin no matter how many times he forces himself to cum because it’s just not enough.

But Izuku wasn’t here to apologize to. Worse than that, he wasn’t here for Katsuki to admit that somewhere in the last year, he’d fallen head over heels for the one person who’d never left his side, no matter how bad shit got. He knew Izuku would never forgive him for the horrible things he’d done as a kid, and Katsuki accepted that.
He’d never earn Izuku’s forgiveness, not even if he spent the rest of his life on his knees begging. And he would not, absolutely never, forgive himself for all the damage he’d caused.

So when Kaminari came wandering into his room with a broken silver age All Might figurine Katsuki 100% knew Izuku had saved up his allowance for six months to buy when they were nine, and has (or had) a collector’s value of 3.5 million yen (~25k$), there was not a single doubt in his mind that the bottle blonde electric user was about to take a very fast, long walk off an incredibly short pier.
“Kaminari.”
The rest of the Bakusquad (as well as most of their class) in the common room stopped dead when their resident explosive blonde used someone’s proper name, in the formal tone, even. Most of the room hadn’t even noticed Kaminari had walked in, let alone that he was holding a broken piece of history that was equivalent to a nuclear bomb bigger than anything Katsuki could dream of creating.
