Summary
Jean Grey was a hero, regardless of what insecurities may whisper. She had been one for eight long years. Years that she would never get back. Years that had taken everything from her, and left her with nothing. Years that made it difficult to keep going. In spite of that, she was still a hero.
Even if nobody else ever remembered. Even if nobody else knew. In spite of that, she was still a hero.
Everything she's touched, she's broken. Everyone she's held, she gets killed. In spite of that, she was still a hero.
Her life is little more than a fragile caricature. A masquerade pretending to be something sustainable. In spite of that, she was still a hero.
Until a shadow within New York City threatens to tear apart her delicate peace. Until it challenges everything she's built. Can she still be a hero, or was it all for nothing?

A series of chapters of one big hilarious misunderstanding.

Peter/Jean. Slow burn that doesn’t stay slow. Possessive telepath, lonely spider, an unfinished thing with MJ, and a messy first time?
He starts to want her. She wanted him first, and with fewer rules.Idk how often I'll update this, wrote it for me, but how many fics could be enjoyed by many that instead were kept to oneself

Summary
When Nymphadora Tonks’s Patronus finds Severus Snape on the first night of Harry Potter’s sixth year, he does not recognise it.
The wolf is unfamiliar, weary and unmistakably shaped by another person—and once it speaks in Tonks’s voice, Snape understands far more than she ever intended him to know. He has lived too long with a Patronus that wears the form of unrequited love not to recognise the same humiliation in someone else.
Tonks is grieving a man who insists that rejecting her is an act of kindness. Snape has spent years convincing himself that devotion is meant to hurt. Neither of them expects understanding from the other, and neither is prepared for the uneasy companionship that begins to grow between sharp words, Order meetings and encounters neither can quite dismiss.
But with the war closing in and loyalties becoming increasingly dangerous, allowing themselves to be known may prove far more frightening than remaining alone.
