If the Fatui are such a nuisance, you may think, why would I put myself through the trouble of keeping one as an acquaintance, let alone one of their highest ranking members? Surely, that would exhaust me even more. And in a way, you’d be right. Childe is exhausting. He’s cunning yet idiotic, bold but somehow... gentle? A kid that crawled out of the Abyss half-monster, and yet so incredibly fragile and human. That's to say nothing of his stores of energy, as limitless as the money in the Northland Bank. He never stops asking for an ass-whooping.
And I keep taking him up on it.

Summary
There’s nothing they can do to help it, really. Both of the twins are blushers, for a variety of reasons, usually ones only they can decipher. Aether, the sweet boy he is, flushes at any and every compliment, refusing to accept any of them out of humility. Archons only know what shade he’d be with Lisa calling him cutie rather than his name. When they’re together, Lumine will usually speak to the complimenter, thanking them on his behalf as he turns pink. Lumine, on the other hand, is usually more composed when receiving compliments. It takes a lot to catch her off guard. Instead of flushing from compliments, it’s often a result of her blood beginning to boil when angry or annoyed, and Aether usually has to advise people to run.
Without Aether around to help, the people of Teyvat have had to figure that out for themselves.

Heat spread across Ilya's face. His mouth fell open slightly. He let out a short, stuttered laugh of disbelief. This couldn't- he was straight, he wasn't-
“Finally got you at your own game.” Shane's smirk widened to a smile, his hand clapping down on Ilya's shoulder to squeeze it slightly. For once in his life, Ilya was unable to find his voice.
“Damn.” Shane laughed, jostling him a bit. “If I had known this was all it took to get you to shut the fuck up, I would have started flirting back years ago.”

When old college friends Ilya and Shane show up to their mutual best friend's wedding, they are ready to fulfill their duties as bridesmen. Even after years of not seeing each other, they fall right back into their usual banter.
Ilya loves to flirt with Shane. Shane loves to tell him to fuck off. It's a running bit. Nothing more than a joke between two friends; because Shane is gay and Ilya is straight and it doesn't actually mean anything…until Shane finally decides to flirt back, and Ilya's world suddenly tilts on its axis.

Summary
Ilya knows with a certainty this is not a hit a player gets up from.
So why, then? Do his eyes watch as Shane’s limbs twitch to life, a wretched gasp wracking through his chest is visible even from under the padded jersey. A conflicting mix of relief and dread bubble up in Ilya as an elbow braces on the ice and Shane’s neck shifts to lift his head. The arm he’s not favouring is held at an angle that suggests he’s hurt. He is facing away, Ilya desperately wishes he could see his face.
-Shane gets hit badly on the ice and Ilya gets caught between his teeth in the aftermath. A feral hostage negotiation ensues (the league throws Ilya to the Shane wolf and he has to figure it out).
This has continued into a chaptered fic! Follow along for cottage shenanigans as Ilya has to navigate his relationship with a feral Hollander. Also Yuna and David are there. He misses Shane a lot and is just trying not to fuck it up in the meantime. Worst of all, his time with the Hollander family seems to be unravelling his own understanding of wolves and how packs can function.
