Summary
Working at a grocery store while studying for the MCAT and applying for med school may not be the most glamorous thing Samira could be doing during the summer after graduating undergrad, but the paycheck is decent, the customers are (mostly) nice, and her manager doesn’t care if she flips through her flash cards when it’s slow. Besides, she wouldn’t be able to work when she’s in med school and she would prefer to rely on her mom as little as possible.
So while her college classmates were romping through Europe with their parents’ credit card in hand, Samira was spending thirty to forty hours a week restocking shelves and running one of the two checkout counters at the Market District Supermarket. And it would be dull work if it wasn’t for one Jack Abbot.

Summary
Samira can't really pinpoint where the desire comes from. Can't say with certainty why the thought of Jack coming home from work, finding her asleep in his bed and pulling down the sheets to ruck up her shirt or drag her panties down her hips makes pleasure spark low in her gut.
Or: Somnophilia

Summary
She has not seen Jack Abbot in five years, but she recognizes him like she would recognize light in the darkness. No amount of blood could disguise him. Samira stands frozen in the middle of the ambulance bay as they unload him. The siren wails. He is here, in California, and he didn’t call.
Medicine is something with teeth, but so is Samira Mohan.
