Summary
The man woke up slowly. He cracked his eyes open and felt how dry his throat was. Thought that wasn't all that important considering the realization of complete blankness in terms of memories.
He stood up. The blonde looked around, it's night and he's in a forest. Then he looked down on himself, he wears a dirty and on some parts torn coat. It must've been a white one, thought that was a little hard to make out with the little light the moon and stars gave off and the dirt and bloodstains on it.
A quick grab into his pockets and the amnesiac found a broken phone and ID card.

Arthur and Rin end up with amnesia after a demon attack and decide to stick together after waking up. Rin's an angel and Arthur would kill for him.

“Kid, you know me?”
When the girl lifted her head, he was a deer facing headlights. Those pale eyes… That familiar face…
Her eyes widened, seeming to realize something as she looked at her bloody hands. Grabbing at his coat, she stuttered out, “I-It’s me… Grace…G-Grace Ashcroft… Y-You have to believe me!”
That’s all she got out before she started sobbing.

Despite Vergil’s constant nagging at his brother to put things back where they belonged, he too, shared the bad habit--leaving books scattered around the shop, empty mugs stained with remnants of tea on the coffee table, never replacing the empty paper towel roll, and leaving the aftershave out. Dante never cared to bite back.
Sometimes he cared too little to put them away, wanting to still see the signs of Vergil’s presence. The ability to track his day through the new tomes piling on the couch or the mug rinsed, but left to dry on the counter.
Other times, he’d quietly stack the books neatly to the side and place the matching mug gently next to his own in the cabinet.
Dante and Vergil become acquainted to living with each other again, and Nero and Kyrie want to create new memories with them.

He whirled around to see an older man, dressed in the standard white garb of a Fortunan but with his hood down. The man’s hair was a pale white, which he didn’t seem quite old enough for but it was definitely not Nero’s place to say anything about white hair, and his face was calm yet severe, halfway to a grimace already even before Nero could open his mouth.
Instead of saying anything though, the man just stared as he dropped his hand. Nero gave him a few seconds before scowling, “What’re you looking at?”
After a further moment of silence, the man finally said, “My apologies. You seemed to be looking for something.”

The man tilts his head up, and Nero realizes he'd been staring at his arm this entire time, only bothering to assess the rest of him up close. There's a sickeningly long pause, the world tilting on its axis.
Then the man's eyes roll back and he drops to the floor with a quiet thud.
(An AU in which Vergil never manages to take Nero's arm, instead splitting into V and Urizen right there in the garage. Nero suddenly finds himself taking care of a wounded demon and a very sickly man, while trying to piece together the mystery of who these two really are.)

After a long day at work, Dante would've been prepared for anything. Anything except finding his long lost brother collapsed on the floor of Devil May Cry.
“You’re a real piece of work, you know that? Left me thinking you were dead for a whole decade. Never wrote me any letters, never showed up, no. Nothing.” He laughed bitterly. “Then ta-daa you crawl back from the grave, raise that fuckin’ tower of yours, and turned me into shish kebab.”
Dante kept rambling even though Vergil couldn't hear a word of it. He couldn't help himself. Talking was easier than letting his mind wander to the turmoil inside.
“Left me thinking you're dead for a whole other decade– and, now what?” He scrubbed angrily at the tears threatening to return. “You came back just so I could clean up your mess? After you fucked around all this time? What am I a fucking contingency plan?”
Or before the event of DMC1, Vergil miraculously breaks free from Mundus' control. Barely alive and with his body falling apart, he has only one wish left, to see his only remaining family one last time.
Recovery, unfortunately, might be easier than learning how to be brothers again.
