“How would you know if it was any good or not?” Kenma asked skeptically.
Hinata shrugged. “Feels like it’d probably be pretty obvious. I mean, we aren’t in love or anything, so it won’t be all guwaah like it’ll be with Kuroo, but the basic mechanics will be the same!”
“But… Are you okay with me being your first kiss?” Kenma asked quietly.
Hinata thought about that. In his mind, whenever he’d pictured kissing anyone, it had been someone with dark hair and blue eyes and long fingers running through his messy hair. But that wasn’t a reality. That was a fantasy.
OR
Hinata’s first kiss is a practice run with one of his closest friends. It doesn’t mean anything. Kageyama, however, doesn’t know that.

"Of course I want volleyball!" Kageyama says. "I'll always want volleyball, that's never going to change! But two years ago, it's all I had! It's all I cared about, because I didn't have anything else."
Of course he loves volleyball more than anything else. But more than anyone else? He's not stupid. Hinata isn't a thing, a sport, a concept.
Hinata is the most important focus Kageyama's ever had in his life.
"But now I have you!" he yells, furious.'

Tadashi ends up bringing him dinner in the bedroom, testing the office chair’s durability by fitting himself on Kei’s lap. “You could get some inspiration from the internet,” he mumbles, watching the cursor on the screen blinking against a blank document.
“The internet didn’t go through the painful torture of watching the dumbest mating ritual of the animal kingdom,” he grumbles. Tadashi’s chuckle tickles Kei’s neck, a huff of hot breath warming him to his core. If Kageyama and Hinata feel even half of this for each other —and he thinks they do— Kei owes them a nice fucking speech.
After all, he had witnessed their weird courtship from the front row. Who better than him to tell the world about just how much those two idiots were meant for each other?

Kageyama looks like he has swallowed ten lemons. Hinata, on the other hand, is just baffled.
“Wait a minute,” he asks. “Why is he giving me racing lessons?”
“Because I am absolutely, without a doubt, a hundred percent, better at racing than you are,” the mechanic replies bluntly. “And even if you race every day for the next decade, and I go blind, you still wouldn’t be a better driver than me.” '
