When they’re alone, Ilya pops a foot up on the bench of his stall, typing his shoe. It makes his shorts stretch obscenely around his thighs. Shane swallows. Is this a sex thing? “So, how was first practice with the Centaurs, rookie?” Ilya asks.

“Look,” Sveta says, and Rose follows her gaze to where the men are exiting the living room. “The boys are leaving. We’ve got the room to ourselves. What should we do?” Sveta’s gaze drops down to Rose’s lips, and Rose sits up, putting her wine glass on the coffee table. Sveta follows suit.
Is she really about to do this? It’s not really cheating, if Shane knows about it.
“I can hear you thinking,” Sveta purrs. “Tell me.”
Rose swallows. “Is this the real reason you invited us over? Not for a wife swap, exactly, but a spouse swap?”
Sveta laughs. “Yes,” she admits. “It was our plan the whole time. Ilyusha has had a crush for… Oh, how long since the draft? And I…” She tucks a lock of hair behind Rose’s ear. “Had a crush too.”
“Had?” Rose asks.
“Have.” Sveta is very close to her now. It would barely take any movement at all to lean in and kiss her. So she does.
