Golden eyes hold fast with Ed’s own, and the flapping of the sails above him sounds like the beating of wings. Poetry as a frame, a fragment shaped into finite form of communication, flashes of a structure parting the fog. A man too impossible to be anything but something in a dream.
"I don't know if that's even possible mate," Ed replies, once more moving forwards. This time there is no cliff crumbling away beneath his feet though his stomach swoops low all the same. "When all you see is pieces, how will you ever know if you've seen it all?"

Summary
Jeff the Affable Steward has spent the past few weeks working on a sleek, state of the art, steam-powered cruise ship that can sail through both air and sea. Jeff the Affable Stewart definitely isn't Blackbeard, notorious Alpha Pirate Captain in disguise, getting intel on all the high-class passengers onboard. Certainly not! And he certainly doesn't have a thing for his fellow crewmate Thomas, the out-of-his-depth but enthusiastic omega working down in towels.
Whatever is or isn't happening on the ship, Ed will have to figure it out fast. Ed's time on the Dawn Star is running out, with Sky Fleet soldiers searching for a fugitive at the behest of an angry lord, his own first mate demanding he gets back to the Queen Anne, and Thomas himself, hiding a secret so deep it threatens to drag them all under.
