“Marinette, I highly doubt you’ve let anyone down in your life. It’s just not possible!” She chuckled wetly, sitting up off of his shoulder and wiping her eyes.
“Oh you have no idea.” she sniffled, lips breaking into a grin. If only he knew about her double life he’d know exactly how many people she’s let down over the years. But thinking about that wasn’t really helping the situation.
After another bout of comfortable, sniffling silence, Marinette startled as Chat swiveled to face her on the chaise.
“Hey what if I did it?” he asked excitedly.
“...what?”
“What if I helped you out? I haven’t got anything on my calendar for the weekend and well,” he wrung his hands and cast his eyes downwards, “I’m not the best baker, but I’m sure I could help out somehow!”

“Obviously.” What a stupid question, he thought. Of course he wanted tea. He always had tea in the mornings unless there was a particularly interesting case, a seven or higher. John knew how he took his tea by heart, he was sure, considering the amount of times that the blond had made him a nice Earl Grey.
Expecting John not to answer and just brew him the casual beverage, he grabbed a book off the side table next to him, and began to flip through lazily. But what the blond said made him drop the book straight onto his lap and off the chair in pure and utter shock;
Or, in which Sherlock is clueless, John knows *exactly* what he's doing, and tea always helps.
