Summary
Bolaire's insurance plan is simple: if he can't be unobtrusive, be useful. After the explosive reveal of his true nature, he has a lot to make up for, and is willing to try anything to get back in the good graces of the group. It just takes one spell to split sensation between two people, but you know what they say about looking into the void.
I refuse to believe Tal made a sentient evil mask that controls people's bodies and didn't consider the voyeurism angle.

There’s something unmistakable about a Time Lord close to entering heat. Very close to entering heat. The Doctor can feel it, that restrained need inside her, still kept in check but close, so very, very close to being unleashed on him. It’s tingling under her skin, it’s hidden behind her eyes, in the corner of her lips – when she smiles at him, he only sees her fangs.
He knows what she is before he knows who she is, and when she tells him her name (and how stupid of him to even need to ask), he realises he has already lost. This is just the way it goes.
