Astarion still liked her even after he found out about the Urge. He still likes her, now, even as he sits just far enough away from her that their shoulders aren’t quite touching.
The thing is that Lenore loves him. Lenore loves Astarion more than she imagines she has ever loved anything, ever, past life of missing memories be damned. And it doesn’t matter if she wants to curl up against him. She doesn’t want to make him uncomfortable—it’s not something he wants, he’d said—and her own hands are too stained with blood for her to even try.
She’ll take it in stride. She’ll only touch him when he initiates it, and even then she will hold her breath until it’s gone.
She loves him, is the thing. She’s not going to do that to him.

Summary
Cat and the gang can finally tick ‘reach the Gate’ off their to-do list, though that’s about the only good news they’re likely to get any time soon. Between the revelations about Cat’s origins, the fact Wyll’s dad just handed the city to Gortash, the Cazador problem, the impending underwater prison break, and the fact that Raphael is still. Fucking. Here. she’s not having the best time of things, and neither is anyone else.
But it’s not all bad. There’s also an elder brain under the city, a cabal of murderers roaming the streets, and the world’s worst shapeshifting niece who’s very much looking forward to making trouble. So yes, things aren’t all bad. Some things are worse.
She does have two boyfriends, though. So that’s nice.

Summary
Emma Morgan went to bed last night in a little village in south Wales. She’s just woken up in a basement, surrounded by guys armed with literal swords and two very angry women who seem to have wandered in from the set of Game of Thrones. It seems they think she’s Ellana Lavellan, the sole survivor of an explosion that killed their Lady Pope, along with a few hundred other people. Also, the sky’s broken open.
She’s in the wrong world. She’s wearing the wrong body. All in all, Emma’s not having a good time right now. But if she doesn’t use her brand-new magic hand to fix things, her new world will end up getting sucked into oblivion, so, needs must.
Trapped forever in Thedas, she comes up with a to-do list. Number one, make new friends to stave off the crippling loneliness of being stuck alone in an alternate universe. Number two, save the world. Number three, grab a smooch from the handsome ex-templar who may or may not hate mages.
Admittedly, she may have her priorities a little mixed.
