Summary
In ancient times dragons learned how to walk as men that they might rule them, and northern kings stole the strength of winter to protect their people. Then magic went out of the world - but now it is returning.
In a pyre at the edge of the Dothraki sea, a girl becomes a dragon. At a wedding, a King becomes a wolf. And in the far north, at the moment that should have been his death, the Lord Commander awakes in fire and ice.
(This work is part of a series in the ASOIAF universe with the same premise - that Targaryens can shapeshift into dragons and vice-versa - but each story stands alone and you do not have to read any of the other ones.)

Summary
Maul dies on Tatooine and wakes up over 40 years in the past. He quickly seizes the opportunity to change his fate and free himself from his Master, to save his brothers, including the one he doesn't yet know he has, and plot a new revenge against Darth Sidious with the advantages of time, foreknowledge and a surprisingly familiar Mandalorian face. It isn't only his own destiny that Maul's actions will change for the better, but that of Jango Fett and the entire Mandalorian people.
As far as the Force and the Ka'ra are concerned, healing hearts through the power of family and friendship will just be a nice side effect of saving the galaxy from its terrible future.

Summary
Since the days of Old Valyria, the blood of the dragon has been man and beast in one. Since conquering the Seven Kingdoms they have grown fruitful and multiplied - but it is not natural for so many dragons to flock in one territory. Even without human politics, it could not have gone on forever. Eventually the dragons will dance, and die.
Or, House of the Dragon if everyone was a dragon. Not a fix-it fic, just a "playing around with small changes" fic.
