27-year-old post-doc Senku Ishigami is almost hit by a car one night on his way home after finishing a model demonstrating interstellar travel might be possible, only saved by mentalist and TV star Gen Asagiri. They bicker, they part, and that should be the end of it.
But the next day Senku wakes up to a repeat of the day he finished his model and almost gets hit by a car.

He goes for the honest answer: “Die. Because you have a bit of peanut sauce on your lips from dinner, and I’m allergic to that shit. It’d cause quite the scandal if you murdered some poor, innocent high school student.”
Gen licks his lips. "Noted."
In which it's 2019 AD, and lately, strangers have been smiling at Senkuu as if he’s an old friend. Alternatively—three thousand and seven hundred years’ worth of memories in the span of eight months.

What the hell is wrong with you? A sizeable grocery list of things, probably. Definitely. But as you take in the edges and planes of Sollux’s body, the way Eridan stands perfectly still save for the slow drag of his eyes from your hips to your shoulders, and think maybe the rightness bar in the engine block is low enough for you.
