Summary
Technically, he doesn’t know this is Mike’s daughter, because she hasn’t even spoken yet. Also because the last time he saw her she was a two-year-old in a picture Mike had in his wallet. So he has an obligation to act normal, because even if it is her, she’s obviously not here to sell Girl Scout cookies if her panicked expression is anything to go by.
Or: Mike has been avoiding Will’s calls for fifteen years. When his daughter shows up at Will’s apartment with a box full of letters, Will finds out why.Bookmarked by glumped

Shane was hurt and Ilya couldn’t be there with him. No one knew that he cared, that his boyfriend was in the hospital, not even Shane’s parents.
OR: Yuna Hollander just wanted to grab some of Shane’s things from his apartment during his hospital stay. She didn't suspect she'd stumble across a home invasion, and that the perpetrator would be Ilya Rozanov.
(Shane’s okay!)

Summary
When he was seven years old, Shane Hollander was briefly lost at an airport. Luckily, the kindness of a stranger ensured he made it back to his parents safely, putting an end to a terrifying three hours for the Hollanders. It takes twenty years (and one heated rivalry) for Shane to learn the name of his rescuer. It takes twenty years for Ilya to learn his wish had already come true.
