    Summary

“All right, Chris?” Trevor said quietly, keeping going with the circles. Chris’s hands were soft in his, a little warmer now than they had been before.

It took a second for Chris to register that Trevor was speaking to him. He blinked his eyes open, slowly, like a cat waking up from a long nap. “All right,” he said at last, the softest Trevor had ever heard him talk. His eyes had gone vague, staring at their interlocked hands. There was a half-sliver of a fond smile on his face.

It was then, and only then, that Trevor finally realized: he recognized that look and that tone of voice and that smile.

He didn’t really have the luxury of fully processing the concept that he had just (accidentally) (platonically) dommed his boss, ex-flatmate, and current crush object effectively enough that Chris was visibly out of it from having his wrists tied. From the looks of it, you’d think hardly anyone ever touched Chris kindly, or told him that he was doing a good job—

Oh. Yeah. Christ. That made sense, then.

    Summary

Legundo was just a fledgling himself, when he turned Abolish. The Gift inflicted on him less than a day before. At least Abolish's turning had been gentle, not like his— not like most of theirs had been. But none of it should ever have happened. And still, a decade on, he was dealing with the consequences.

    ***

Ten years after Oakhurst, Abolish is injured.

Treatment of a wound that vampiric healing won't touch is difficult enough for Legundo, dealing with the Organisation and his somewhat-estranged fledgling makes it even harder.

Harder still, are the truths and dangers that are dragged out of the past for both of them.

    Summary

Though going through biological estrus is a necessary part of life for many, managing it can be a struggle and a hardship, particularly for those living with disability, mental illness, body difference, complex trauma, and beyond. At Mary Robinson, we offer a mental health professional-facilitated, peer-to-peer treatment program that puts you in control of every step of the process. Our licensed therapists and counselors will meet with you, evaluate your needs, and connect with a peer in the program whose needs match yours. They will help facilitate a meeting and introduction, ensure your comfort, and ease the navigation of initial boundaries. From there, the power is in your hands. 90% of people who go through this treatment program report positive outcomes and an easing of debilitating biological estrus cycle symptoms.

    Summary

    “I see you.”

Something crosses between universes that should never touch. A vessel built for a blood ocean, broken open in deep space. Inside it, barely alive, a man no one was looking for and a tree that should not exist.

Grace and Rocky did not ask for this. But Grace has not seen another human being in years, and the ruined stranger on his medbay table is, impossibly, alive.

Simon has only ever known one law: everything costs something. Kindness is a debt. Care is a trap. He has no idea what to do with a man who keeps giving him things and asking for nothing back, and no framework at all for the one that terrifies him most: being seen, and not made to pay for it.

Slow-burn. Two profoundly isolated people, one alien best friend, and the long work of learning to be safe.

    “Agreed.”

    Summary

After defeating Krampus, Legundo has everything he could ever need: a safe place to sleep, a steady source of food, people he trusts. (People he loves.) He would never ask for anything more.

Maybe it's time for that to change - and maybe he isn't the only one with something they're hiding.
