He set the folder down. “Why are you showing me this then, Granger? I’m not a Healer. That's your title, remember? Brightest witch of our age, and all that.”
“I need your help,” she relented, slipping a second file from her coat. “This is what I’m proposing.” Her voice dropped, breath catching on hope.
Malfoy’s face took on a more serious expression, pinched in concentration as he read.
“Granger, this is… radical. Dangerous. Can’t be done.”
“With your help I can,” she said, her voice firm now.

Summary
The war is over, and Hermione is doing her best. She's the Ministry's brightest star, but inside she's a mess. Lucius Malfoy has wormed his way out of Azkaban and is now the head of a new political party. Hermione can feel the dark rising again, but nobody listens. Re-upload, as I needed to edit. I cannot stress enough how dark this work is- very dark. Some of the themes are darker than any that I have read so far, so please mind your mental health. I have taken inspo from various places too, including other fics and the way the world is. Draco and Astoria are minor. All thoughts and criticism are welcome.
