“I didn’t know that the policies for hiring were so…mediocre these days. I’ll have to talk with Ranpo…’’ Dazai said; his smirk wasn’t friendly — it was cruel. The insult, which four years ago would’ve been met with another equally fiery insult (which held no bite), was met with a grunt.

Summary
Less than a week into the new school year, a loud knock disrupts the quiet of the fourth-year Slytherin boys' dormitory. The last person Regulus expects to find on the other side of the door is his (somewhat) estranged older brother, Sirius, his handsome face bloodied and bruised.
Even more shocking than Sirius's sudden appearance, is his request - if they'd be so kind, could he bunk with them in Slytherin 'for a bit'?
His brother's refusal to explain his abscondence from Gryffindor is irksome, but Regulus lets him in regardless, confident he'll unravel the mystery in due time. After all, Sirius has never been very good at keeping secrets from his younger sibling, and Regulus can be *very* persuasive when he wants to know something.
Unbeknownst to the Black brothers, however, their choices in that moment set off a chaotic chain of events that will have lasting repercussions for The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, and change the trajectory of their lives for good.

Regulus had a plan, but the return of his older brother six years after he ran away makes all of Regulus' plans collapse.
Barty always had a plan for his future with Regulus, it was always the two against the world, best friends who would always stick together no matter what, but since Sirius' return, Barty has begun to wonder if his dreams are really going to come true.At some point, their plans start to crumble.
