Just like real moss, Zoro’s hair color shifts with the seasons. Only, the Straw Hats have never stayed in one place long enough for it to be noticeable. So when their swordsman spends his two year gap on an autumn island… it ends up catching everyone completely off guard. Miscommunication ensues.

Zoro loves Sanji’s hands.
~
In a ridiculous plot to get the Cook to hold Zoro’s hand, the swordsman intentionally gets lost. He’s a little puzzled by the fact that even when he’s lost, he always finds his way back to Sanji. -

Summary
While feverish and unaware in his first days at Kurigana, Zoro refers to Sanji as “Love-Cook”.
Perona has a terrible habit of latching onto things she shouldn’t.
Convinced there’s something between the Straw Hats’ resident swordsman and cook, Perona spends the next two years “helping” in the only way she knows how: meddling.
When the crew finally reunites on Sabaody, Sanji discovers two things at once – Zoro looks unfairly good with black nail polish, and maybe he’d been in love with him all along.

Zoro loses a tooth.
For a swordsman who fights with a weapon clenched between his teeth, it’s far more than a minor inconvenience.

Summary
When rumors surface about a lost forbidden genjutsu, Kakashi is sent to investigate. But it’s a trap. Captured by rogue shinobi, he’s subjected to relentless torment, both physical and psychological. Wounds heal, but scars remain; something fractures, far deeper than they realize. As the lines between illusion and reality blur, one question remains: what becomes of the Copy Ninja when the man beneath the mask is irreparably changed?

Summary
“Thanks for all your help, baby,” Nami throws scathingly over her shoulder to Zoro.
Zoro shoves her away. “Gross.”
Sanji does not point out the fact that Zoro didn’t think the term was so gross when he was using it to beg Sanji to move faster, go harder. He wonders if Zoro says it to any of his other hookups, or if Sanji gets the moniker all to himself.
God, this is becoming a problem.
Really, the first problem was fucking his frenemy. Okay, he shouldn't say that. The word frenemy is so tacky. And also inaccurate for what Zoro is to him. But mostly the tacky thing. So you caught feelings for you super-casual, months-long, practically-but-not-actually-exclusive hookup. It's probably fine, right?

Summary
Sanji gets like this sometimes. Tetchy and listless at once, trying to cover it all with a frenetic cheeriness that quickly frays at the edges. He’s high-energy and overenthusiastic, a veritable hurricane of round the clock snacks and personalised drinks, quickly tempered by reticence and frustration.
By the time Zoro catches on, there’s a cloud around Sanji’s head that’s only partly made up of cigarette smoke. Sometimes it dissipates on its own, and sometimes it billows out into a hazard sign. When Sanji comes to him then, he's a forest fire.Following the personal upheavals in Totto Land and Wano, Sanji struggles to keep himself together. Zoro helps, the best way he knows how. It works until it doesn't.

Summary
There’s no exact science to it, but the flowers don’t start climbing up until the later stages. He’s had vines in his lungs for years. If he found out about it earlier, he’d probably have taken the surgery, probably cursed out the stupid cook and blamed him for the way his sullied lungs have been holding him back.
Now though, he isn’t so naive. Even without the excuse of something interfering with his respiration, he knows he simply wasn’t strong enough back then.
Zoro thinks of Sabaody, Thriller Bark, Enies Lobby; of the way a stupid, selfless idiot stood on a broken leg twice just to save his life, and how fucking scared he'd been at the thought of losing the foolish cook. He remembers dozens of other moments like that, and the far fewer, but closely held, instances of quiet affinity they’ve shared outside of a fight. Zoro thinks about how stubborn and single-minded he is in every other field of his life, and knows no surgery would ever stop this.Bookmarked by idiotsensei

Summary
Someone shifts next to him.
Oh, was it one of those nights, he wonders? Raising a curly eyebrow, he tilts his head, grabbing the sheets covering the other person to yank them down and tell them they have to go now. There are two things he sees that snap his memories back into place:
One, the silver band on his ring finger glinting mischievously in the dim lighting of the sun through the cracks the curtains provide.
Two, the person asleep next to him is not a faceless, nameless stranger but the damn Marimo himself.
Oh shit.
