“You’ll have to give me a list sometime.” Samira breaks off a corner of the croissant and pops it into her mouth then, as she chews, rips off another piece and offers it to him. Jack leans forward and eats it from her hand, soft lips against her fingers.
“A list?”
Samira nods. There is a crumb on his lower lip. His scruff is thicker than the last time she saw him, at handoff two days prior. He showered before coming in, silver curls still slightly damp. “Of the things you won’t do.”
Jack smiles. Licks his lips. Doesn’t shift his gaze from hers. “It’s a short list.”
