Summary
Miranda has experienced loss, grief, hopelessness... The worst of it is the waiting.
Or, the years Miranda waits for her soulmate, and a few where she doesn't.
Context:
Everyone has an Other, and the world is large so the wait can be long to meet them. At 30, if one has not met their Other, they will stop biologically aging. Soulmate pairs are made of a Sun and a Moon, and no one knows which they are until their Eclipse, or their first meeting with their soulmate where one glows as the Moon, or shines like the Sun. On average, people are between the (chronological) ages of 25 and 32 when they Eclipse, but some do so before they're 30, and some wait a very, very long time. -
