She kept still as her measurements were taken, ignoring the tailor's droning voice. Her eyes only narrowed as a small boy in rags entered the shop and positioned next to her. When their gazes met, grey against green, Ella Malfoy could feel the power hidden beneath the boy's emerald depths.

There was nothing more connecting him to that place. He was clean. Purged. And those stupid chills he got from time to time in the back of his neck were just his brain messing up with him. It was him not being able to move on from what happened in the past. It was him not being able to grow the fuck up already.
Dustin clapped his hands, the sound echoing in the calm night, making Will snapped out of his thoughts. “We can become heroes, Will. Honest to God American heroes. Like freaking Red dawn or something.”

Max takes a breath, and then gives him a shaky smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "I'll have your tape," she says, wiggling the wires of her headphones. "See you after school."
