Aang’s gray eyes met his, and for the first time since Zuko had known him, the boy looked small. Lost. “Gran-Gran said it so plainly,” he whispered. “A hundred years. Like she was telling us the weather.” His voice cracked on the last word, and he scrubbed at his eyes with the heel of his hand. “We’ve been stuck in that iceberg for a hundred years, Zuko.”

kaguya wins the war and kakashi goes back in time, he wakes up w his anbu uniform at 20yo in an AU where he never existed, so everyone is still alive. goes rogue, kills danzo, and starts killing the akatsuki. saves karin, begrudgingly accepts kabuto, befriends (and is a bit gay) w zabuza, haku is a softie, fu suddenly appears, kisame tricks him and doesnt get killed, help kiri in their coup, save yagura from the genjutsu, goes to uzushio and discovers more about the clans there, goes to konoha to see if orochimaru deflected (he didnt), saves sai (who is from a clan from uzushio) and shin (who is a hatake), and explodes orochimaru lab. obito finds him and they fight but kakashi escapes, tsunade cures shin cancer and reveal he is a hatake. kabuto is insecure abt kakashi and his honesty ig? kakashi is thought to be root who snapped and killed danzo, obito is kinda obssessed with him and kakashi is miserable and depressed just as we like it
great fic in general, very good characterizations and a fluid read. makes you get attached to the characters just as quick as kakashi, deal with the worldbuilding very well and makes you want more. cant wait for the next chapters and it's already one of my favourite kakashi time travel fics

His eyes crack open to a blurry mess of a world. Everything swims, and the pain in his head seems to have narrowed, shooting through his eye but deep and back and fuck it hurts to think. Overwhelming nausea follows.
That small voice dissolves into the quiet, choking hiccups of someone trying to hide their tears.
Her hair is bright, bubble gum pink. It hurts to look at. She looks real.

His name is Hatake Kakashi. He is a jounin of Konahagakure no Sato. He doesn’t feel like that’s true. Something is very wrong with him.
He is thirty-five years old, a university student for the second time, hardly attached to his country, let alone his town, and he was a teenager when he last properly watched Naruto. Waking up as the traumatised goofy teacher guy must be some kind of joke.
