Summary
It was supposed to be a simple, straightforward report. Something that Vincent could do in his sleep, if only he was given the chance. But no, the studio decided to send that no-talent, fucking hack of a reporter with him. That bastard was going to do the on-air report, and Vincent was just there, in case something went wrong. There had been a long string of murders in the area, and they wanted to be sure the report would be done.
Part of the report had already been filmed, the areas of deprivation around New Orleans, the places hit hardest by the Depression. All poor black families, barely scraping by. Well, they had far too many kids, what did they expect? Vincent had had two kids, a perfectly acceptable number for a young family, doing things the right way. They filmed a little in the swamps, and were eaten by the awful bugs, and Vincent swore he saw alligators circling them. Then, they went to the more affluent areas, where all the victims over the twenty year period had been from. There had been a brief reprieve, during the war, but then it had returned with a vengeance.

“ For fuck sake.” Vox complained as yet another bout of wind caught the paper sending fresh tobacco into the air and down between wooden slates of the balcony floor.
Alastor allowed a smoke filled laugh erupt from his chest. It was rather fun to see him struggle.
Giving up entirely he shoved the pouch back into his back pocket.
“ We can share you know.” Alastor announced abruptly.
That got Vox's attention as his eyes immediately shot back up to Alastor's own.
