Summary
The first step to becoming a full fledged member of the Hairy Hooligans, was to catch your own dragon. More accurately, kidnap a sleeping dragon and then run, a simple mission that went wrong in about two minutes. No one got out unharmed, but the one who had it the worst was Snotlout, not because of the wounds he sustained, but because he now owed Hiccup, his younger cousin who he has attempted to kill or seriously maim multiple times, his life. A debt that could last forever if he didn't get rid of either it or Hiccup.

Summary
A hiccup has many meanings to a Viking. It’s an interruption, a runt of the litter, and an annoyance to have while drinking. But above all else, a hiccup is a mistake. An accidental knot in the threads the Norns weave, embarrassing at best and useless at worst.
But according to some witches of well renown, there are no such things as mistakes. Not even when they double knot the threads of fate. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third–both of them–learn this, and how to become Heroes, the hard way.
(Hiccup the Elder rolls his eyes, because in his experience, fate and everything involved with it is full of shit. Hiccup the Younger smacks him in the arm, because that is impolite to say about the Norns who could still weave in a horrible fate for both of them.)
An AU combining the books, movies and shows all together in one tangled plot line, starring Hiccup the Dragon Master and his sister Hiccup the King-to-be of the Wilderwest. Yes, they both have the same name. Yes, that is quite inconvenient for Berk and the archipelago at large considering the situations the two keep getting into.
An AU of wickedcriminal’s Half Brothers AU where book!Hiccup and movie!Hiccup are half-brothers in the same universe.

Summary
“Promise me, then,” Hiccup sighed. “Promise me you won’t do anything stupid. No unnecessary risks, no nothing. If you think you’re even in the slightest risk of danger, run. I… I don’t want you to get hurt because of me. I won’t let you get hurt because of me”
“That promise goes both ways, y’know,” Dagur said. He squeezed Hiccup’s shoulder gently. “You can’t do anything stupid either. No hero complexes rearing their oversized heads: got it?”
He nodded in reply. Dagur’s hand dropped off his shoulder; he didn’t know why, but a desperate feeling clawed its way into Hiccup’s chest– he wanted to hug Dagur.
“Promise,” Hiccup said, wadding his fists into tight balls just in case they decided to betray him.
Dagur nodded and turned to leave.
“Promise.”
(In which Dagur is Hiccup's double agent instead of Heather, and Viggo Grimborn does not take well to traitors.)
