Summary
Ivan followed the Chief as he slid on a pair of latex gloves. After ducking under the tape, it was still a dozen steps until they reached the victim.
He was young, Ivan noted. Early to mid twenties, with shoulder-length silver hair and a thin complexion that couldn’t quite be blamed onto dehydration of the body. Lying on his back but propped to the side, as though he’d rolled over in his slumber, his eyes open just as slit, not enough to see the color. One could overlook the pallor of his skin and believe him to be a boy, sleeping.
“…What’s his name?”
“Till.”
Ivan crouched next to him.
“Till,” he repeated.
Till, a twenty-four year old university student, is found dead by the train tracks, an hour on foot away from the town where he was last seen alive. Ivan is assigned to investigate his case, and through a series of oddly familiar details and vivid dreams, he realizes there are more links between himself and the victim than he knows.

“Was it always like this between us? Have you always…?” Till trails off, at a loss for words, looking down to where their fingers are still loosely intertwined.
“Been this obsessed with you?” Ivan offers.
“What—!” He pulls his hand out of Ivan’s grasp. “Don’t say it like that.”
All his life, he's only ever wanted one person, one light—Ivan knows that he has to let it go. What he doesn't realise is how badly Till needs him to stay.

He snaps his head up to see the man smiling down at him with a little snaggletooth digging into his bottom lip. His washer cycle had started and when Till glances at it he is horrified by the red sloshing against the door window.
“Uh.” This man may or may not kill me tonight. Fuck, I am going to be involved in a homicide but as a victim. “No.”

Summary
In romance novels or shows, a kiss marked the beginning of a relationship. Or so Mizi and Sua said. They hadn’t really spoken about what happened: neither why Till had basically jumped on Ivan, nor why Ivan had reciprocated, but talking had never been their thing—both a blessing and a curse, if you asked Till. So, by definition, they should have been dating.
Or: Ivan and Till kiss, but have yet to clarify the status of their relationship.
