Summary
Alec immediately regrets the instinctive shift of his feathers, knowing how many Downworld throats have been slit open on nephilim wings, knowing how many times Magnus and his council must have seen that happen. But what’s done is done and moving them back would do nothing. Alec comes to a halt at a respectful distance from the High Warlock and waits. His arrival was without notice and is certainly unwelcome. By both nephilim and Downworld custom the next move belongs to Magnus alone.
“Tell me, Alexander Lightwood,” Magnus begins icily, and it’s no surprise that he knows Alec’s name. “What brings the Head of the New York Institute to my door, unarmed, runes inactive, and completely alone?”

Summary
In honor of the Ides of March (and betrayal), here are a series of scenes I've written for fics that will never exist.

“Jace, I would give anything to spare you this.” Alec breathes deeply, eyes remaining closed. “But as your Head, I am telling you that this will happen."
Jace makes a barely audible sound at that certain proclamation, and Magnus would give a lot not to know what it sounds like for the strong-willed Shadowhunter to smother a sob into his brother’s shoulder.

A thin werewolf slips up into the VIP section and comes up to whisper in Magnus' ear. "Commander Lightwood dropped a body off at the door, High Warlock. A nephilim body." As Magnus' gaze jerks over to the guard, the wolf continues unbidden. "There's a Circle rune on the neck, sir." He hesitates before continuing. "But it's been... uh.. stabbed through the center."
Alec smirks, still not looking up. "Pretty sure I chipped the blade on his vertebrae, actually." He quirks an eyebrow even as he smoothly guides the whetstone over the weapon's edge. "It would have been an utter shame to waste such a well-marked target though,” he purrs.

“The last time I saw this note,” Isaiah comments, his smile sharp-edged and grimly satisfied, “Alec had just pinned it to the chest of a dead Circle member.”
Magnus’ eyes widen. He may have known there was an explanation for his husband’s signature being on a note in a Circle archive, but that was most certainly not the explanation he expected.
“Frankly, I’m curious how they got the blood off it.” Isaiah sounds remarkably unperturbed. “There was quite a bit as I recall.”

Shane Hollander is the sole Omega within the NHL. He’s been running from his own instincts since the moment he first presented and lives his life akin to that of a Beta; scentless, never nesting, and without a heat cycle. Any failure to conform to these ideals would result in being outcast from his peers and by the league altogether.
Ilya is the only Alpha in ice hockey that plays without the use of suppressants. He lives his life purely driven by instinct, running from the ghosts of those attempting to control him. Unbeknownst to Shane, he’s also the only person that can smell the Omega, and the scent is steadily driving the Alpha insane.

The one where Shane is slowly killing his omega to keep playing hockey and ilya breaks up with him over it. Shane slowly loses his everlovin' mind over it (hallucinations, seizures, omega rejection sickness and all) the next two years, and basically punishes himself at the cottage he built for him and ilya, locking all of ilya's courting gifts (including the bear pelt) where he can't access them until hayden flushes his meds and shane breaks apart on the ice. Ilya mate-bites him to try and save him and chapter ends with ilya and shane being forced apart by medics and taken off the ice (13/?)
