Summary
Tubbo grabbed the basket and threw one to Michael, who went to eat, swallowing it down whole. Tommy stood and dusted himself off. He hesitated because he didn’t want to break the news to Tubbo when he seemed so happy. But, they did need food. Placing a hand on Tubbo’s shoulder, he looked at him pitifully.
“Tubs,” Tommy began, feigning sorrow in his voice. “It seems you’ll have to get up to the Antarctic Empire for fish.” Tubbo’s face fell.
“You do it!” Tubbo exclaimed.
“Nope,” Tommy said, popping the ‘p’. “As the biggest man here, I don’t have to!”
“Tommy.”
“Yes, Tubbo?”
“You’re doing it.”
Tommy stared at Tubbo for a moment, seeing the hint of firmness in his eyes. Being the smart, poggers man he was, he decided to not argue. Partly because Tubbo would actually kill him, but mostly because he didn’t want to die and leave his dragons alone.

Summary
“Oh… Shroud, baby,” he calls softly. “It’s Papa.” He kneels before the figure and hugs him, kissing his forehead. “I know I left you, but we had to get your room set up, and spiderlings need a lot of things.”
Shroud wants to believe him, he does, but he can’t. He isn’t his Papa. His Papa wouldn’t try to kill him. He pushes at his chest, and instinctively, spits on Theseus’s arm, listening to him shout.
“No, baby, it’s not safe for you! Come back!” He pleads, trying to follow him.
He runs far, scrambling up into the abandoned house he calls home. He closes the door shut and cries, curling up into a ball like he did when he was small. He stays on the ground, hidden away by the webs he built. Protection and food. He can’t breathe. His head is spinning, and he wants to sleep. Winter is soon, so hibernation is soon. He needs food. He wants to go to sleep. He curls up in his shitty-made home and cries himself to sleep.
He wants Papa back.

Atreus’s frustration rises to a boiling point. A point of anger where he goes nonverbal, just staring at the Kratos he’s made up out of contorted aspects and beliefs and memories. A question he’s asked himself for three years: does father love me because I’m strong? Well before Fimbulwinter and well before Fenrir’s death, and well before these murals and Týr and them finding out he’s a Jotunn, and everything falling apart. Does he love me because I am strong, or am I strong because he loves me, is Atreus’s father’s love conditional, or is Atreus’s existence conditional on Kratos?
Everything becomes too complex.

Atreus’s anger forces him to run.

Summary
For years Techno's piglin instincts insisted the piglin hybrid protect and keep Tommy safe. It doesn't matter that Tommy has betrayed him, it doesn't matter that Tommy isn't in danger, it doesn't matter that Techno isn't quite himself when his instincts kick in, all that matters to that small corner of Techno's brain, is that Tommy is safe and Techno is the one protecting him. Thankfully, even with all the hurt feelings and hatred brewing between them, their family have an agreement and an understanding when it comes to this. Tommy will let Techno protect him, even if it's only for a day.
