that was exceptional. new perspective of shane as a goalie makes so much sense with his character, very believable deviation from the story. I also really enjoyed how some snippets of the original story were interwoven with this new reality, similar things happened under completely different circumstances. looking forward to whatever else the author will make because they know how to cook

A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

beautiful work. it's hard to find resentful angry arguments with an established couple, especially as sweet as hollanov, and this was a breath of fresh air. the way they would dig at each other. when I was reading the tlg, something about ilya's behavior seemed too mellow for me, and with this fic I finally understood what. I was seething with anger on his behalf, mad at the situation he found himself in by leaving Boston and moving, I assume that I would have similar emotions, even though it was his choice to make.
