Oh, that’s what it’s supposed to be. Ness seems to be as bad with a knife as he is at baking because the cake slice on Mike’s plate is so misshapen that it can hardly even be called a “slice”. It’s burnt at the top, a bit more than he had originally thought it was, but the middle seems almost gooey. (Mike really hopes that’s by design.)

He looks down to where Minho had pulled their hands into his coat pocket and feels something akin to a fire light in his heart. Giving a light squeeze in thanks he looks up at Minho.
Except Minho doesn’t even look like he’d taken his eyes off of the performance and Jisung wonders if he’s imagining the ghost of a smile on Minho’s face.

Summary
“Can you blame me for being a bit bothered?” Jane asks, his voice bitter with self-loathing in a way that he, for once, doesn’t notice and correct.
He turns away, busying himself with buttoning up his vest. He doesn’t seem to notice Rigsby leaving the file behind to approach him, desperate to do something to get Jane to stop talking like that.
Quieter, meant only for himself, Jane continues in a murmur. “It was a bit jarring, seeing as another four people were killed because of mistakes I made.”
Rigsby notices that Jane pulls a lot of all-nighters in the evidence room.
