Summary
Sixty grabbed Gavin’s ankle, yanking it toward himself and causing the restraints on Gavin’s arms to snap tight. It put pressure on the human’s abdomen, a sharp cry of pain escaping him. “Yeah,” Sixty grinned, “I don’t think that’s any way to address your superior.”
Connor stood by, doing nothing to stop his brothers.
If Gavin had been bright enough to read the situation, who knows how differently things might have gone. Not surprisingly, anger won over critical thinking. “My superior?! Connor isn’t my superior!”
Nines’ hand reached out, gently cupping the human’s cheek and Gavin’s brows furrowed, startled and confused. “Ohh,” Nines purred with a tone Gavin was ashamed to know immediately that he could get lost in, “...but he is. We all are.”
***This is a rough ride that could have gone in so many different directions. My amazing readers encouraged exploration of these directions and as such, chapters 5,6, and 7 are alternate endings to the main work.***
