Summary
A canon-compliant, internally consistent episode-by-episode exploration of Mulder and Scully’s interiority, usually accompanied by a little vignette, before or after. (Digging into the on-screen *and* the off-screen, one ep at a time.)
I've tagged it Explicit for future-purposes; explicity comes to those who wait, or something.
Though I’m writing these because I feel compelled to do so, I hope that you enjoy them! That would be lagniappe.
Currently taking a break between seasons, but I’ll be back soon. If you're interested in an update, check out my bio/profile; I've added one there.

“Sleeping together with other individuals offers a variety of advantages, including protection from predators and buffering against cold nighttime temperatures… The availability and quality of each position within the sleep site depends on the choices made by other group members.”

In which Scully and Mulder begin sleeping over to provide comfort, and then begin sleeping over for other reasons.
(Updated to add a tag or two and lyk that it's complete.)

In which, following the high school reunion in The Rain King, Scully decides she's waited long enough.
(This starts fluffy and gets smutty. There's dancing and there's teasing and there's more than one happy ending.)

Summary
“—this has something to do with what happened. With Eddie Van Blundht.”
He stirred, tapped the spoon against the rim of the pot and set it aside. Then turned to her and leaned back against the counter, crossing his long legs and bracing on his palms. “What did happen?”
She sipped from her wine to keep her mouth busy. It didn’t help; his gaze followed the wineglass to her mouth, then trailed down her throat as she swallowed. It was warm in here, no doubt from the stove being on.
“You read my report, Mulder,” she said, calmly. “Are you impugning my thoroughness?”
“Never.” For some reason, his voice was thick. His eyes had moved back to her mouth. Now they rose to meet her steady look—slowly, like he was taking his time, taking in the contours of her face. “But given the nature of the… encounter, I have to assume there were details you didn’t include because you didn’t think they would be appropriate for an official report.”

Summary
If music be the food of love, play on.
This began as a writing exercise in which I let the songs on my MSR playlist guide my writing, because I needed to stop trying so hard and let myself feel, instead. It turned into something I’m actually pretty pleased with, and now I want to share it with you.
This is (like all my favorite things) a collection of vignettes. Updates will be irregular and future content is impossible to predict. Who knows what this will end up containing? MSR is certain; smut is likely; purple prose is (evidently) unavoidable. It could be AU; it could be historical; it could be canon-compliant. The one thing I can say for sure is that it will be totally mine and completely human, because fuck AI.

Summary
I can’t say with certainty where we’ll end up (together or separately).
But for now, these chapters are manifesting as little explorations of Mulder and Scully’s internality within each episode, usually accompanied by a little off-screen vignette, before or after.
Though I’m writing these because I’m compelled to do so, I hope that you enjoy them! That would be lagniappe.

Summary
“How do you remove a badly wounded corpse from a small scene without leaving a shred of forensic evidence?”
It sounded like the lead-in to a truly tasteless joke. Scully looked again at the locked car and then again at him, and in her distraction seemed to forget that her hand was still tucked over his.
“That’s easy,” Scully said after a beat. Then, leaning into him so the state trooper wouldn’t get any ideas—lest he think they were, oh, spooky, maybe—she snapped her fingers. “You just use your tractor beam.”
While tracking a slow-moving set of cases sharing nothing but the inexplicable lack of a body, Mulder and Scully find themselves suddenly trapped at the dead center of a phenomenon that threatens to separate them for good.

Bookmarker's Notes
Casefile, yearning, perfect characterization, all the angst. And beautiful prose.

Summary
Some people get marriage proposals, vows of eternal love. Mulder and Scully get forever threatened grimly, at the cost of everything else they’ve ever known or loved, in the back of a stranger-danger van ferrying them to an undisclosed location.
After Mulder and Scully's investigation of a Wiccan farm and retreat center reveals that a series of "ritual murders" were in fact committed by an organized crime ring, they're forced to go first into hiding under FBI protection and then into the federal witness protection program. An exploration of how they grieve, adjust to living together, heal, and slowly begin to build a new life.

Summary
Five years later, I finally got around to posting these fics to AO3.
The origin of the first chapter was a request by the wonderful @wtfmulder for first date fic. The second chapter arose when certain readers insisted I couldn't just fade to black on a potential sex scene.
The title of both chapters come from the Gettysburg Address, which I have included in the end notes.Bookmarked by mamuscript
