    That’s when he realized how stupid he’d been these last few months. Father was trying to arrange a marriage between him and Kent. That's why he agreed so readily whenever they asked to hang out, that’s why they had been introduced in the first place. 

    This was awful. 

    He couldn’t marry this boy, he was incredibly annoying and his room was a mess and if they did get married, they’d have to share a bed and he just knows that boy is a heater when he sleeps and Damian likes to have lots of blankets on him so it would never work out. But, of course, he would never defy his father's wishes like that. If he wanted to unite the Kent and Wayne families by marriage, then he guessed he could make that sacrifice.

     

    Or,
    Bruce makes an offhand joke about how he's going to marry Damian off and now that he's pushing his friendship with Jon, he assumes that this is what his father wants and accepts it despite the fact that none of it was true.
